La Mirada Academy

La Mirada Academy, located in San Marcos has a large number of students living near the poverty level.  At CPC we have adopted this school to help better the lives of its children and their families.

On the second Sunday of each month we collect and deliver non-perishable food to the school pantry.  Children are then given needed items to take home.

At various times during the school year other help is provided such as the annual backpack and school supply drive in late August or early September.

Throughout the school year, adult mentors are paired with one child in a classroom who needs additional support in reading.  You pick the time (during the school day or the after school program).
