Volunteer at CPC
At CPC there are plenty of opportunities to use your talents, follow your passion or just dig in and help get things done. We always welcome anyone with a desire to serve the Lord by serving others, anyday, anytime.
On Sundays

Music
Music is a vital part of worship at CPC. Our two morning services have different styles of music:
-
At our first service you’ll listen to contemporary, upbeat praise & worship songs
-
Our second service appeals to those who love the hymns sung by generations before us.
-
Each service features excellent instrumental music as well.
Guest artists renowned all over San Diego perform at CPC in our annual concert series, and special performers at Christmas and Easter lift our souls in those special seasons.
You’re invited to be part of the wide variety of musical offerings to praise & worship God here! If you are a soprano, alto, tenor, or bass; can play woodwinds, brass, strings, guitar or percussion consider joining:
-
Praise team
-
Praise band
-
Jubilate Singers Choir
-
An occasional vocal or instrumental ensemble
Contact our Music Director, Oleg Shikunov for more information.

Hospitality Team
One of our goals at CPC is to welcome visitors, to help them discover a spiritual home with us. Critical to accomplishing that goal is a team of warm, friendly people ready to extend open arms.
-
Greeting and ushering at our worship services
-
Preparing and cleaning up our coffee service
-
Setting up and taking down conversation pods & pop ups
-
Preparing, serving & cleaning up after Build A Life U dinners & other special events
If you have the gift of hospitality (or big muscles!), think about joining our team. Contact the church office for more information.

Sunday School Leaders
At CPC we offer a full range of Sunday School classes for children and adults. This means that Sunday School teachers are always on our want list. Whether you prefer helping out with the littlest ones in our nursery and preschool, shepherding elementary students, keeping up with middle & high school teens or mentoring other adults, we welcome you.
We invite you to consider becoming:
-
A member of our rotating team of weekly teachers and helpers
-
A leader of a connecting group
-
An occasional instructor for our quarterly Build A Life U classes.

Prayer Support
Prayer is an integral part of our building a life in Christ. It is also a way to make a difference in the lives of others. The Bible shows us several ways to pray; in large settings, in small groups and alone. Our prayer ministry offers those opportunities to our congregation.
-
Our Prayer Chain is a group of individuals who receive routine and urgent requests via e-mail. Members pray and offer thanksgiving as indviduals as their schedule permits.
-
Worship leaders participate in our Sunday worship services, reading scripture and offering prayer.
If you are a prayer warrior, contact the church office about joining one of these teams.
