Meet Our Staff

Pastor Greg arrived at CPC in December 2014 after serving Wildwood Presbyterian Church in Grayslake Illinois for 23 years as co-pastor with his wife Kathy.  She has now retired from active pastoral ministry to focus on her other career as an author, leaving the preaching to Greg.  Their three children, Chris, Amy & David live in Los Angeles, each pursuing a career in the movie business.

Greg grew up in the Midwest, attending high school in Wheaton, IL.  He is a graduate of the University of Illinois (economics), Princeton Seminary (New Jersey) and McCormick Seminary (Chicago), where he received his Doctor of Ministry degree in 1998.  Greg plays a lot of soccer and a little basketball, enjoys the great outdoors, follows baseball and college hoops (the Fighting Illini, of course) and loves watching kids grow up--his own and everyone else's.  In another life he might have been a whitewater rafting guide or high school basketball coach, but most of the time he wouldn't trade professions with anyone.
