A Very Special Sunday: Renewal of Baptism & Communion
On the first communion Sunday after Easter, we celebrate the renewal of baptism by coming forward to receive both the water of life and the bread of heaven. Our pastors will make the sign of the cross on our foreheads, symbolically washing away the ashes of our mortality placed there on Ash Wednesday with the water of life. It’s a day for grace, forgiveness, new beginnings, unconditional love, and more. Yes, it’s the first Sunday after Easter… but it has a meaning all its own.

Sermon  When We Lock the Doors
On Easter night, the disciples of Jesus are hiding behind locked doors in fear. How do we hide in fear, in our own way? What gifts and graces might we be locking out… and what happens to us when we lock our fears in?
