Sunday, August 13

  9:00 Contemporary Worship

10:45 Traditional Worship

Scripture: Genesis 25:19-34, 27:1-46, 33:1-17

Sermon: Journey through Genesis: Rivalry and Reconciliation

We come to the stories of Jacob, the younger of twin sons of Isaac and Rebekah, who steals the birthright from his older brother Esau and ends up leaving home for his own safety. Talk about a dysfunctional family—and yet the promise of God is at work in, around, and despite the dysfunction.  For those of us listening in… who among us doesn’t know something about broken relationships, the need for forgiveness, and the hope of reconciliation?

Minute for Mission  Nicole Mioni-Green of Casa de Amistad, the tutoring outreach for whom CPC is a satellite site on Mondays, will update us on Casa’s mission.

To worship online live Sundays at 9:00 and 10:45 or recorded: go to www.Christ-Pres.Church
and click Watch Worship, then click the service you would like to attend.

Coffee service is available after both Sunday services.
