Updated Worship Plans

In keeping with the latest guidelines from the San Diego County Health Department, worshipers seated in the sanctuary and lobby will need to wear masks as part of the effort to limit the spread of the delta virus variant. Outdoor worshipers who have been vaccinated may remove their masks if they choose. The CDC and County have recommended that all people, vaccinated or not, wear masks in indoor public spaces such as churches. Our “return to worship team” understands that opinions vary on the use of masks while indoors, and we appreciate your understanding as we navigate these uncertain times with concern for all.

Scripture  Matthew 18:1-4

Sermon  The Importance of Growing Down

We all have to grow up, but every so often Jesus reminds us that there’s something about childhood not to be lost. But if we’ve lost it, there’s always the opportunity to grow down…

This Sunday is Sundae Sunday, our annual celebration of the children of Vacation Bible eXperience and their families! Please stay for ice cream sundaes after both services on the patio, provided by masked and gloved servers. Enjoy the fun!  Over seventy children and youth were part of last week’s Press Play! Vacation Bible eXperience! Many thanks to the children and their families, youth and adult leaders, all coordinated by Cathy Love, our director of family ministries.

WORSHIP THIS SUNDAY

All the same in-person and online worship options remain. Choose the one that’s best for you.

Worship in the sanctuary with a mask.

Everyone, vaccinated and unvaccinated, wearing masks. Sing masked!

Worship in the lobby (narthex) with a mask.

The lobby is an open-air environment for families with children and those with health conditions in a socially distanced, well-ventilated space with all the glass open to the outdoors. Sing masked!

Worship outdoors on the patio with or without a mask.

In the shade under the pop-ups; those not yet vaccinated or with health conditions should wear masks. Sing like you’re in the shower!

Worship online

Live every Sunday at 9:00 and 10:45, or later. Go to www.Christ-Pres.Church, click “Watch Worship,” and click the service of your choice. A second camera has made the online worship experience seamless. Sing to wake the neighbors!

We are seeking to create an atmosphere of grace and comfort for everyone. We will not screen worshipers, but those who come on campus are certifying they do not currently have COVID-19, are not experiencing symptoms, have no reason to quarantine, and will wear a mask and practice social distancing if they are not vaccinated.
