This Advent we’re looking at the “Fear Not” messages in the Christmas story. This week an angel surprises Mary with some unexpected news, introduced with the words “do not be afraid.” Can we face the mysteries of life without fear?

THIS SUNDAY: CPC presents The Living Nativity, 5-7 pm, a gift to our community featuring an interactive walk-through experience of the Christmas story, featuring Emperor Augustus, Mary and Joseph on the way to Bethlehem, the innkeeper, shepherds and angels in the field, wise men in search of the child, and a baby in a manger. Please come and invite your friends and neighbors!
THIS SUNDAY: Holiday Book Sale to Benefit CPC’s Fund for Asylum Seekers 10 a.m. CPC’s Kathy Bostrom, author of over fifty children’s books, will donate all proceeds from sale of her books to this vital CPC ministry that has now welcomed two families fleeing persecution to the US. Kathy will also gladly sign the books for you!

ADVENT / CHRISTMAS AT CPC
NEXT SUNDAY: A Celebration of Christmas for all ages including the Children’s Nativity Play Dec. 11, 5:00—6:30 p.m. Christmas cheer by the fire, a hot cocoa bar, soup and holiday treats, games and entertainment, all culminating in the children’s play. Fun for everyone!
The Sounds of Christmas on Sunday, December 18 at both services, features special music and solos from our band, praise team, and choir, and Christmas carols for all to sing!
Christmas Eve Candlelight Worship at 5:00 p.m. (family service, child care) and 7:00 p.m., both with traditional lessons and carols.
Christmas Day Worship, 10:45 a.m. A Carol Sing and a Christmas story. Attire is breakfast casual; children are welcome to bring a toy with them.
New Year’s Day Worship, 9:00 & 10:45 a.m. Begin the new year with prayerful worship and communion.
