Sermon:    A Healthy Body Image

Most of us are familiar with the image of God’s people as “the body of Christ” – and it may even seem ho-hum. But there’s a lot more meaning, energy – and life! – in the image than we may expect. It’s actually one of the more profound metaphors every conceived – but maybe it’s even more than that.

My One Word: You’re invited to choose one word to be your spiritual focus for 2019. As an alternative to a new year’s resolution, pick one word (or phrase) to receive your attention: write it on a card in your desk, put it on a post-it note on the mirror, use it as a screen saver – there are countless ways to remember to consider something new. Among the many choices people have made in the past are: compassion, forgive, steady, look, and grace. Eileen’s word is community. Greg will reveal his word for 2019 on January 27. Email your word to mailto:amyk@cpclacosta.org or write it anonymously on a slip of paper in the lobby so we can see what other folks are thinking about.

Contribution Statements for 2018 will be emailed by January 31, 2019.
