Sunday, July 16

Scripture: Genesis 12:1-5a

Sermon: Journey through Genesis: Blessed to Be a Blessing

The saga shifts from universal stories of creation, garden, and flood to the stories of the ancestors of Israel. This Sunday we read the call of Abram (later Abraham) and Sarah by God, a call that includes the simple yet profound principle of faith that we are blessed to be a blessing. Both are the gift of God!

Ordination and Installation of Elders and Deacons during both services. Elders make up the session, the governing council of the church, while deacons lead the congregation in ministries of compassion and empathy. Ordination celebrates perhaps the most important Presbyterian contribution to the wider church: that leadership comes from all the people, not only the clergy.

To worship online live Sundays at 9:00 and 10:45 or recorded: go to www.Christ-Pres.Church
and click Watch Worship, then click the service you would like to attend.

Coffee service is available after both Sunday services.
