Scripture  Luke 10:38-42

Sermon    The Better Part

Combine a friendly home visit with a little sibling rivalry, and you end up with a gospel story about “being” and “doing.” But what if Greg doesn’t want to preach on this passage even though it’s the scripture appointed to be read right after the parable of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37)? Come and see…

The Good Word from Zephyr Point: Summer Camp 2022. We’ll hear from campers who spent this week at the Presbyterian Camp on the shores of Lake Tahoe.

Ordination of Elders and Deacons celebrates the most important Presbyterian contribution to the church: that leadership comes from all the people, not only the clergy. Being ordained and/or installed as elders are Nicole Hudson, Teri Juybari, Grant Lupo, Laurel Moran, and Jessica Reese (Leslie Mauerman will be ordained on a future Sunday. Being ordained and/or installed as deacons: Jay Brown, Grace Hanggi-Noe, Jane Savage, Kim Corthay and Dorothy Jean (DJ) Mattes. The congregation also has a role in this moving ritual handed down in the church since the time of Christ. Welcome to this ministry!

We will also thank our retiring elders and deacons: Elders Ann Collins, Audra Hokunson, Lisa Scott Jones, Phil Sider, Anne Warner, and Deacons Jessica Buuck, Linda Cherrington, Jill Merrill, and Linda Watson. Well done, good and faithful servants!

To worship online live every Sunday at 9:00 and 10:45 or recorded: go to www.Christ-Pres.Church
