Wear red for Pentecost Worship featuring the praise team, band, and choir in a unique celebration of the coming of the Holy Spirit, then and now. Kids will be invited to play the drums on one song. We’ll make a special offering of food for the kids at La Mirada Academy during the service; don’t use the bins in the lobby, keep the food to present during worship. We’ll honor all those whose efforts make worship happen at CPC. And unique and special music will feature all our church musicians!

Scripture:  Acts of the Apostles 2:1-22 (selected verses)
Sermon:  Spirit on the Loose!
We will read the story of the coming of the Holy Spirit upon the disciples, the beginning of the church, and we’ll talk about how the Spirit has been at work (at play?) here at CPC in the past, present… and future! The whole service will be a celebration of the way the living God moves in and among us in the often mis-understood and always mys-terious Holy Spirit.

Nominated for three year terms as Elder: *Ann Collins, Audra Hokunson, Lisa Scott Jones, Jessica Reese, *Phil Sider, Anne Warner. Summer Sermon Series: Your Help Needed!
Your help needed for our Summer Sermon Series: Questions People Ask  Greg and Eileen are planning a sermon series that will address questions asked by the congregation – which means we need you to ask them! Please submit questions in writing, anonymously or otherwise, by email or offering basket. There will be one or two informal follow-up gatherings the week after each sermon in a local pub and/or coffee shop to further discuss the question.
