Third Sunday in Lent

9:00 & 10:45 a.m.

Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper

Scripture  John 6

Sermon  Finding Hope in the Bread of Life

The only miracle in all four gospels is the feeding of 5000 people with two fish and five loaves of bread. Only John tells us “the rest of the story,” about how Christ seeks to feed a much deeper hunger. We’ll hear more on this first Sunday of the month, which is always communion Sunday at CPC.

To worship online live or recorded: go to www.Christ-Pres.Church and click Watch Worship, then click the service you would like to attend.

This is the third Sunday in Lent. For forty days (excluding Sundays) we are invited to take a spiritual journey to the cross and empty tomb. During Lent, the people of God look within to the condition of our own souls, and beyond to how God calls us to live in the world.  Our 2024 Lenten devotional, A Good Enough Lent is available in the lobby. Pick up your copy today or read it online at

Coffee service is available after Sunday services.

Our Lenten sermon series Finding Hope in Troubles Times, explores resources for hope found in the “I am…” sayings in the gospel of John. Each message is paired with a small group study offered at various times during the week beginning this Sunday. Anyone can join the small group Sundays at 10:15 a.m. in the adult ed room in the education building.
