This Sunday at CPC, May 12, 2024

Seventh Sunday of Easter, May 12
  9:00 a.m.  Contemporary Worship
10:45 a.m.  Traditional Worship

Mother’s Day: all the women in attendance will receive a flower from our children, and our prayer concerns will both honor mothers and recognize the bittersweet nature of the day for many.
Scripture  Luke 24:44-53
Sermon  Up, Up and (mostly) Away
The ascension of Jesus has always been challenging cinematically; how would you portray this visually? But that’s the “Up, Up” part—it’s the “Away” that matters most, and it matters for all of us.

To worship online live or recorded: go to www.Christ-Pres.Church and click Watch Worship, then click the service you would like to attend.

This Sunday begins our annual Mother’s Day offering for the Camp Pendleton YMCA Temporary Emergency Assistance Fund assisting Marine families in crisis. Sunday’s video shows other CP YMCA programs we support, photos depict Marines in the School of Infantry appreciating goodie bags from our middle schoolers, and our So Sew ladies will display their homemade layettes for “Marines babies.” Support our Marine friends by check to CPC (memo CPYMCA) or online. Thank you for your donations! Details: mission committee rep Shannon Rowson or www.asymca.org/camp-pendleton-home

Coffee service is available after Sunday services.

Wear red for Pentecost on Sunday, May 19, as we celebrate the birthday of the church! We’ll remember the way the Holy Spirit empowered the disciples to tell their story and transform the world. The Spirit still empowers us to be glad and faithful people!

A Memorial Day Observance will be held during both services on Sunday, May 26, with the presentation of a memorial wreath presented by Jay Packer, United States Marine Corps.
