This Sunday at CPC, May 26, 2024

 9:00 a.m.  Contemporary Worship
10:45 a.m.  Traditional Worship
This Sunday in honor of Memorial Day, we remember servicemen and women who have given their lives for our country, and we remember their loved ones.
Scripture  Psalm 29
Sermon  Loose in the World
The Sunday after Pentecost is known as Trinity Sunday. The spirit of God is loose in the world working to make the work of God and Jesus evident. We will explore the unfathomable mystery of our faith in the triune God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. It is also Memorial Day and we will honor all those who have served. The service will conclude with the Presentation of the Memorial Wreath, a Prayer of Remembrance, and singing My Country ‘Tis of Thee.
To worship online live or recorded: go to www.Christ-Pres.Church and click Watch Worship, then click the service you would like to attend. Coffee service is available after Sunday services.
The Kindness Board has made its appearance in the northwest corner of the sanctuary, near the Baby Space. Kindness, our word for the year for 2024, serves as our spiritual focus as we seek to be instruments of the peace and justice of Christ in a broken world. You are invited to share a kindness done to you on a postcard pinned to the board (signed or unsigned). There will be other “prompts” as the year goes on. Thanks to Marcia Griffith & JJ Springer for the board and all our sanctuary decorations, including for Pentecost!
We’re continuing our annual Mother’s Day offering for the Camp Pendleton YMCA Temporary Emergency Assistance Fund assisting Marine families in crisis. Last Sunday’s video showed the variety of CP YMCA programs we support, photos depicted Marines in the School of Infantry appreciating goodie bags from our middle schoolers, and our So Sew ladies displayed their homemade layettes for Marines babies. Support our Marine friends by check to CPC (memo CPYMCA) or online. Thank you for your donations!
