Sunday, October 17
  9:00 a.m. Contemporary Worship
10:45 a.m. Traditional Worship
Scripture  Matthew 5:1-8
Sermon  Blessed are the Pure in Heart
The sixth in our fall sermon series on the Beatitudes, about the unexpected grace that arises in severe and challenging circumstances. What does it mean to be pure in heart? Is it about moral rectitude, or something more? What did Kierkegaard, the Danish Christian philosopher, mean when he said that “purity of heart is to will one thing”?
A worship bulletin will be emailed before the service.

Jubilee Sunday at CPC. We are a partner church with Jubilee USA, (www.jubileeusa.org) the non-partisan faith organization that works on debt, tax, trade and transparency policies that help end poverty.  Most recently Jubilee has worked on help for developing nations so they can concentrate their resources on those most at risk due to the pandemic. We’ll hear a Jubilee update from Vanessa Forsythe.
