Sermon Blessed are Those Who Mourn
The second in our fall sermon series on the Beatitudes, about the unexpected grace that arises in severe and challenging circumstances. The second beatitude doesn’t mean we should seek out grief because it’s a blessing; rather, it’s that when we grieve genuinely and deeply, we will eventually receive a comfort from beyond ourselves that frees us to live again without denying the gravity of our loss.
