God, the World, and You: A User’s Manual
How do our choices and God’s plan interact? Are we truly free, or does God determine the course of events? Bonus: a brief reference to that Presbyterian buzzword predestination, but mostly we’ll be considering the balance between God’s will and ours.

Sunday Adult Education: 10:10-10:45 am classes resume September 8. Discussions track the fall sermon series “Questions People Ask.” Share your perspectives about the questions and the search for answers in scripture and elsewhere.

Homeless Veterans Initiative: Once again we will be providing “move-in packs” for homeless vets receiving housing during September. In two years CPC and four Presbyterian Churches in North County combined with Interfaith Community Services to house 122 veterans, 7 spouses, and 17 children!  CPC alone has donated over $7000 and 60 "Make-It-A-Home" packs. Furniture in good condition is needed anytime; call Interfaith (760) 215-9637 to schedule home pickup.

Presbyterian Disaster Assistance will be on the ground in the Bahamas and other places devastated by Hurricane Dorian. Make your check out to CPC with the memo "Dorian," or go online to our website, click "Give," scroll down to "Give Now" and choose Mission: Hurricane Dorian.

CPC Beach Party!  All ages and stages, come to South Ponto Beach Sunday, September 8, anytime after 5:00 p.m. for beach games, swimming, and the sunset. Bring a dish to share.
