9:00 Contemporary Worship
10:45 Traditional Worship
The Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper is very special on All Saints’ Day as we claim our connection to all who have gone before us and now sit at the great feast in the kingdom of God—a great feast we share in receiving the bread and wine of communion.
Scripture Revelation 21:1-5a
Sermon A Clue to the Mystery
Life is a great mystery that only deepens as we discover more and more of it. In the scripture death is the last enemy to be destroyed (1 Corinthians 15:26), yet it is also a clue to the mystery. We’ll talk more about that on Sunday morning.
This Sunday we celebrate All Saints’ Day by calling the roll call of the saints: the names of church members, loved ones, and friends who have passed from this life through death to new life with God during the last year. There will be a moment to silently add the names of those whom you remember this day, whether their loss be recent or of many seasons. With faith, we claim for them the sure and certain hope of resurrection. After worship you may visit the Dia de los Muertos ofrenda (created by Rocio Middleton) and light a candle by the outdoor cross in memory of a loved one. You may bring a photo (5×7 or smaller) on Sunday to add to the ofrenda.
To worship online live every Sunday at 9:00 and 10:45 or recorded: go to www.Christ-Pres.Church
and click Watch Worship, then click the service you would like to attend.
Coffee service is available after both Sunday services, thanks to our baristas- more are welcome!
