Advent in your home: Advent, from the Latin for “coming,” is the season before Christmas in which we prepare for Christ’s coming anew into our lives and our world. Light candles at home during worship and each evening during Advent. You’ll need four candles plus a Christ candle; any size or color will do.

Lighting of the Fourth Advent Candle
Scripture  Matthew 1:18-25
Sermon     Hope in a Time of Incarnation: Emmanuel
Why does the church keep telling this story year after year? And more importantly, what is it within us that keeps us listening?
A worship bulletin will be emailed before the service.

Laid-Back Christmas Concert, this Sunday, December 20  5:00 p.m. online. It’s really more of a Christmas talent show as church folks of every age and stage offer music (including a world premiere) and a beautiful story from Mark Liggett. We’ll email a link on Sunday afternoon; you can watch the concert at 5 p.m. or anytime afterwards.

Don’t forget the online Alternative Christmas Market: A CPC tradition! Check out the online catalog of mission causes in North County, San Diego, and the world, and then choose which mission(s) you’d like to support and for how much.
