This Holiday Season...

 The Christmas Angel Tree arrives November 20. Choose an ornament from the tree and purchase the designated gift, make your purchase, and return it with the ornament attached by Sunday, December 11 for distribution before Christmas. Your gifts for needy families at La Mirada School will make Christmas happen!

Lighting of the Christmas Tree, Sunday, November 27 5:00-6:30 pm

Begin the season of Advent with a festival of light on the patio and in the lobby, featuring something for everyone: crafts for kids (Advent wreath and Nativity set), fellowship around the fire, a hot chocolate bar and treats, culminating in lighting the outdoor Christmas tree.

Living Nativity, Sunday, December 4, 5:00-7:00 pm

A gift to our community featuring an interactive walk-through experience of the Christmas story, featuring Emperor Augustus, Mary and Joseph on the way to Bethlehem, the innkeeper, shepherds and angels in the field, wise men in search of the child, and a baby in a manger.

Christmas Celebration & Children's Play Sunday, December 11, 5:00 pm

Christmas cheer by the fire, entertainment and games, and the return of the annual children’s Nativity play. Fun for everyone!

The Sound of Christmas, Sunday, December 18, 9:00 & 10:45 am

Featuring special music and solos from our band, praise team, and choir, and Christmas carols for all to sing!

A New Advent Opportunity at CPC: the Service of Solace, Wednesday,
December 21, noon. Often called The Longest Night service because it takes
place on the longest day of the year, this worship gathers those for whom
loss, loneliness, or life circumstances make Christmas a difficult time.
Prayers, quiet carols, and candlelight mark the day.

Bereavement Group at CPC. Thursday mornings  Anyone mourning the loss of a friend or loved one, recent or past, is invited to attend a bereavement group led by CPC’s Jane Savage, a hospice nurse, and Eileen VanGieson, our associate pastor and hospice chaplain. Open to CPC folks and the community. Vaccination required.
