About Us
Here are a few of the many words that describe Christ Presbyterian Church…
Grace! God’s boundless love for all creation encourages us to build a graceful – as in grace-full – church in which we can discover a spiritual home, grow in faith, and make a difference in God’s world.
Kids! We love our children, bless them as they bless us, and mentor our youth until they leave home to change the world. We love other people’s children, too, supporting a nearby low-income school with food and tutoring, sheltering homeless families on our campus, building homes for families in Mexico… and more.
Science-friendly, spiritually-deep, life-affirming faith! Christ calls us to love God with our heart, soul, and mind in equal measure. We welcome scientific truth for what it tells us about the amazing universe God has provided. At the same time we seek wisdom and purpose for living in the Scriptures and we rejoice in the countless good things about the life God gives us.
Mission! We’re not afraid to get our hands dirty or open our wallets to make a difference in God’s world. San Marcos, San Diego, Rosarita, and the Navajo Nation are among the many places where the fingerprints of our people may be found.
Interfaith! Here God leads us to build bridges instead of walls between faith communities. We have partnered with our friends in the Jewish Collaborative of San Diego (JCSD) and the North County Islamic Foundation (NCIF) in a journey of friendship, understanding, and mission. JCSD will soon be our next door neighbor as they build their synagogue on our property.
Garden! The Bible begins in a garden, and we are creating our own little slice of paradise in a community garden on our property that is open to all. It’s a great way to serve our neighbors, many of whom do not have room to grow produce.
Hope! We live in challenging times, and it’s good to know that we do not walk the journey of faith alone. Here you’ll find hope from the God who gives life, and hope in the form of a shoulder to lean on when the road gets tough.

Better yet, visit CPC on a Sunday morning, when worship is at 9:00 (contemporary) and 10:45 a.m. (traditional), with Sunday School for preschool through fifth, 9:30 - 10:15 and adults 10:10 - 10:40. Geography
Christ Presbyterian Church is a congregation of the Presbyterian Church USA, located in San Diego California’s north county coastal area. Though our address is Carlsbad, we are a quick drive from Encinitas, San Marcos, Vista and other nearby communities.

Christ Presbyterian Church is a place for grace in the midst of a chaotic and often impersonal world. If you are looking for something more in life, seeking faith and friendship, wanting to make a difference, or searching for a spiritual home, we invite you to come to CPC.
Here you will find good, genuine, down-to-earth people with whom to share your journey of faith. A young family moving away once told me, "We set out to find a church that we could become part of, but we ended up finding a church that became part of us." CPC is that kind of a church.
